Rock Lodge will once again open its friendly doors for an annual Open House. Please join us in the day’s festivities which will include:

* a hot dog lunch
* tour of the premises including the historic 1907 Stone House
* cabin and room tours
* members art and photography show
* a late afternoon informal punch and cheese gathering
* and, of course, all the usual amenities you will find at Rock Lodge such as tennis, volleyball, sauna, hot tub, boating, fishing, hiking on our 145 acres, swimming, ping pong, badminton.

Facilities at your disposal include picnic tables, gas grills, refrigerators, community kitchen and TV, children’s playground, sandy beach, free parking.

The festive day, always a popular set of events, is open to everyone. The discounted charge for adult visitors is $15 (including tax) for the day.

At the annual Art, Photography and Crafts Show, members will show paintings, photography, fabric painting, decorative items, yarn-based needlework, embroidery, beadwork, jewelry, welded metal sculpture, and thrown pottery. Items may be purchased directly from the artists, and custom-made items can be commissioned. The Show will be held in the Recreation Room, which is pleasantly set up for sitting and chatting with the artists.

Lunch (hot dogs) will be served on the patio at 12 noon. The buildings tour (main buildings, select rooms and cabins) will be held at 3:00 p.m. and the informal punch and cheese party will take place late afternoon at the Sandy Beach.

Sky Farm Nudist Club to Hold “Dare to be Bare for Breast Health” Open House

Sky Farm, located in scenic Basking Ridge NJ, is holding an Open House on June 21, 2008 to raise money and awareness for the Avon Foundation for Breast Cancer. The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade has raised and awarded more than $450,000,000 worldwide to make a significant and lasting difference in five critical areas: awareness and education; screening and diagnosis; access to treatment; support services; and scientific research, all with a focus on the medically underserved.
Sky Farm and its members are sponsoring a local woman Sherri Lynn of Manville as she continues her quest to participate in all 9 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer cities. Sherri has completed the New York walk 4 times, as well as Boston and Washington, DC once each. This year she is headed to Chicago. Since Sherri’s diagnosis nearly 13 years ago, she has been raising money and awareness by telling her story and has helped many people through their diagnosis, treatment and recovery. Sky Farm is proud to partner with a person like Sherri who selflessly gives back so much of her time and energy to achieve her fund raising goals and continue the fight against Breast Cancer.

Admission to the open house is limited and by reservation only. There is a $20.00 entry fee per person, half of which will be donated to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
