Livingston Section of Union, New Jersey.

If you are a frequent reader of The Keys to New Jersey – you already know that I’m a huge fan of Union, New Jersey. In past articles, I’ve covered various sections including; Putnam Manor, St. Michaels, Larchmont and today I’ll be telling you a little bit about the Livingston Section.

The Livingston Section is scattered on the tranquill side streets of Morris Avenue, not far from the Union, NJ Train station and Kean College. The Livingston Section is positioned with easy access to- downtown, transportation, schools, shopping, houses of worship and much more.

Probably, the easiest way to find the Livingston Section of Union is to travel towards Elizabeth on Morris turnpike. Once you reach the Lowes home improvement store, keep going until you see The Holy Spirit School. Take a right on Suburban Road.

You’re there.

Take a short drive around the neighborhood. The Livingston Section has a wide variety of homes including — Colonials, Capes, Tudors and others. As you drive through the quiet streets you’ll notice that there’s a real pride in ownership. Groomed landscaping, clean driveways, pleasant paint colors. Residents go all out.

Make it a point to swing by the Livingston Grammar School. You can’t miss it. If you have school age kids – speak to the neighbors. They’ll tell you all about the school. It has an excellent reputation.

For a nice three bedroom home that is move in ready, expect to pay between $350,000 – $400,000. It’s possible to pickup something for less – but expect to do a lot of work.

I really think that the Livingston Section of Union offers a great value to current home buyers compared to homes in other towns with similar schools and amenities.

Have a look around. And by all means please give me a call if you would like to visit a few properties. I can be reached toll free at 877-965-4800.
