Anyone who is looking for a home in Union, New Jersey, needs to know about the Larchmont Section. Nestled right in the corner of Morris Avenue and Liberty Avenue, this is one of the premier areas of town. With it’s own neighborhood association, easy access to Manhattan bound buses, and close proximity Millburn and Short Hills, this little enclave is definitely a home owners dream. After my open house yesterday, I snapped this photo. Jeans hanging on a clothesline.

Big deal.

Well, I thought it was kind of cool. It’s a sight I haven’t seen in a long time. Then I thought about it a bit more — tapping into my Inner Aristotle — and it occured to me that this was a great great thing. A great thing for our enviornment.

So next time you’re thinking of throwing those $400 jeans in your $2000 front loader — think again — and slap them up on that rusty old clothesline.
