Maplewood, New Jersey isn’t considered one of the best towns in New Jersey by chance. Residents and town officials go out of their way to make sure that there are lots of great events year round . This 4th of July is no exception.

Residents and others can enjoy the 4th of July festivities in Memorial Park. There will be a full day of events including an ice cream eating contest, a bake-off, music, a pet show, art projects, relay races and softball games. Then at 9:00 PM Fireworks.

Ready – Set – Float. The infamous Memorial Day Duck Races will be happening in Memorial Park this Monday from 11:00AM to 12:00 PM.

Sponsored my the South Orange / Maplewood Kiwanis, the duck races are always huge crowd pleaser. This will be my first time attending, so I’m totally psyched.

By the way, there will be over 80 different prizes donated by local merchants.
