So you’ re thinking of moving to Maplewood, New Jersey or you live in Maplewood and want to get a parking permit. Here’s all the info.

Maplewood – Residential Parking permits require proof of residency, a valid vehicle registration and payment of $160 per permit per calendar year or $180 for a combition parking permit and jitney bus pass. Applications can be obtained from the Office of the Township Clerk, 574 Valley Street or by clicking the link below.

Maplewood Rubber Duck Race a Huge Sucess.

Local residents showed up in force yesterday for the annual Rubber Duck Race in Maplewood, New Jersey. Hundreds of people crowded the banks of the Rahway River in Memorial Park hoping to get a glimpse of their ducks in action.

I don’t know if our duck won, but we had a great time.

Maplewood / South Orange Rubber Duck Race.

Ready – Set – Float. The infamous Memorial Day Duck Races will be happening in Memorial Park this Monday from 11:00AM to 12:00 PM.

Sponsored my the South Orange / Maplewood Kiwanis, the duck races are always huge crowd pleaser. This will be my first time attending, so I’m totally psyched.

By the way, there will be over 80 different prizes donated by local merchants.

Maplewood Jitney Service. Another Great Reason to Move to Maplewood.

Small towns don’t get any more delightful than Maplewood, New Jersey. It’s a place where the traditional meets the funky. It’s kinda like a Norman Rockwell on steroids. I’m not sure if I like that analogy, but I’ll go with it for now.

It’s a town where one minute you can be cooking a short stack, and thirty five minutes later you can be watching the Monique Lhuillier show at Fashion Week in Manhattan.

This unique small town experience blended with the easy commute to NYC via the Midtown Direct – has put Maplewood on the map as one of the most sought after areas of New Jersey.

In addition, the township has a wonderful Jitney Service that shuttles commuters to and from the Maplewood Train Station. This is a huge plus to residents, especially those living more than a few blocks from town.

There are three distinct routes, all originating from different areas of town.

Mornings from 6:04 AM to 8:45 AM
Evenings 5:25 PM to 8:34 PM

The Hilton Route
Mornings 6:04 Am to 8:44 AM
Evenings 5:23 PM to 8:34 PM

The Wyoming Route
Mornings 6:04 AM to 8:45 AM
Evenings 5:25 AM to 8:34 AM
