If you live in the Essex County area, there are lots of great places to go sledding. Here’s a photo me flying down some very treacherous terrain near Millburn, New Jersey. As you can see, I’m an awesome sledder.

One of my favorite places in Millburn Township is the Wyoming Section. This area of town sits on the border of Maplewood and is essentially broken up into two smaller sections. The Upper Wyoming Section — and the Lower Wyoming Section.

The Upper Wyoming Section, the pricier of the two, basically covers the entire hillside running along Wyoming Avenue. At the top of the hill is Sagamore Road where many of the homes actually abut the South Mountain Reservation. Some even have wonderful New York City Views. You’ll often find joggers and others strolling along Sagamore enjoying the beautiful scenery and admiring the lovely homes.

The Lower Wyoming Section sits below Wyoming Avenue and offers some of the most reasonable home prices in the Township. In this area you’ll find the amazing Wyoming Elementary School. There’s also a lovely park with tennis courts, soccer fields and a very cool playground.

Eight properties have closed in the Wyoming section since July. The purchase prices have ranged from $470,000 to $1,330,000. There are currently seven homes currently on the market ranging from $500,000 – $1,429,000.

One of the reasons I like this area so much, is that it has easy access to both downtown Millburn and Maplewood. Residents get the best of both worlds.

In addition, if you plan on commuting to Manhattan via the Midtown Direct, you can save $20 a month (Monthly Pass) by taking the train from Maplewood. Not bad .. huh?

So if you’ve been contemplating a move to Millburn, be sure to checkout the Wyoming Section. It’s a great area.
