Ok. Well here’s the info on getting a parking permit in South Orange.

South Orange- Parking Permits are available at the Parking Authority Office, Second Floor of Village Hall, (973) 378-7715. Residential commuter permits (6am -10 pm) are available monthly for $25, quarterly for $70, semi-annually for $125, and annually for $225. Overnight on-street parking permits are available for residents who live in a one or two family house with no driveway. Limit two permits per family, with an annual fee of $40 each. long-term daily permits for employers and employees as well as residental overnight permits for municipal parking lots are also available.

For the South Orange New Jersey Transit Parking Lot only applications are available at – Parking Lot Applications (South Orange) Permits are available montly for $55, quarterly for $165, semi-annually for $330, and annually for $660. South Orange Jitney. Gettin’ People to the Midtown Direct.

So, you’re thinking of moving to South Orange, New Jersey. Great choice. It’s a happening place with a wide variety of housing options. Some of these homes are close to South Orange Train Station — others not so close. For those in the “not so close” areas, South Orange has a wonderful Jitney that shuttles residents to and from the train station. It’s a great service, one that is used by many residents.

There are three different routes:

Montrose and Tuxedo Park Jitney to the South Orange Train Station

The Newstead and North Wyoming Jitney to the South Orange Train Station.

Irvington – Academy – Valley Jitney to South Orange Train Station.

So if you are thinking of buying a home in South Orange, try to find something close to a jitney stop. It will make life a lot easier.

Maplewood / South Orange Rubber Duck Race.

Ready – Set – Float. The infamous Memorial Day Duck Races will be happening in Memorial Park this Monday from 11:00AM to 12:00 PM.

Sponsored my the South Orange / Maplewood Kiwanis, the duck races are always huge crowd pleaser. This will be my first time attending, so I’m totally psyched.

By the way, there will be over 80 different prizes donated by local merchants.
